In this simple guide, we'll walk you through the step-by-step process of measuring your roller shutters for both windows and doors. Don't leave your roller shutter installation to chance - we'll give you the knowledge and techniques to achieve a flawless fit for your property. Let's start measuring your roller shutters.
Use the Diagram for Accurate Measurements
1.) EXTERNAL FACE FIX
In this case, the curtain is secured in front of the opening, as shown in the image.
To ensure a proper fit, you need enough space above the opening for the box (C in the plan) and space to the left and right for the guides (A and B in the plan). The box and guide dimensions depend on the shutter size, and our team will calculate them.
If you have sufficient space, we need measurements for points D and E in the plan to determine the opening size. If you have concerns about fitting the guides and box, we'll also need measurements for points A, B, and C in the plan. Please provide all measurements in millimeters if possible.
2.) REVEAL FIX
In this scenario, the curtain is attached inside the opening, as shown in the image.
Keep in mind that some of the structural opening will be lost due to the space taken up by the guides and box when installing the shutter. The box and guide dimensions are determined by the shutter size, and our team will calculate them.
Assuming you have enough space, we need measurements for points D and E in the plan to determine the opening size. Please provide all measurements in millimeters if possible.
3.) INTERNAL FACE FIX
In this case, the curtain is affixed behind the opening, as shown in the image.
To ensure a proper fit, make sure there is enough height above the opening for the box (C in the plan) and adequate space to the left and right for the guides (A and B in the plan). The box and guide sizes are determined by the shutter dimensions, and our team will help with these calculations. For specific size details, refer to the CAD drawing provided with each product.
If there's enough space, we need measurements for points D and E in the plan to determine the opening size. If you have concerns about fitting the guides and box, provide measurements for points A, B, and C in the plan. Please provide all measurements in millimeters if possible.
